Frequently asked questions
Babies cry sometimes, it's completely normal... so please don't worry! We know what it’s like to juggle activities and look after your baby at the same time, and sometimes, despite our best efforts to soothe them, our little ones just need a good cry! So if you baby decides that during a class is their moment, then please feel free to either comfort them there in the room or if preferred there will be areas available to settle them in a more private space.
We would love for you to take photos of your little one and have those memories last a little longer or be shared with your family and friends. However, we would ask that you ensure that no other parent or babies are captured within your shots - as we all have different preferences regarding ourselves and loved ones being on camera and it important that we respect the wishes of everyone within the group.
Absolutely - we don't expect you to delay a hungry belly or leave a full nappy. If you feel happy to do so, you are more than welcome to feed during the class, there will be privacy blankets available if desired, or if preferred there will be areas available to feed them in a more private space. All our venues also provide baby changing facilities, however, if there will also be spaces to change little ones towards the back of the room.
Unfortunately, we can only provide a space for yourself and your baby; as our classes have carefully controlled numbers. This is to ensure that we create an atmosphere where babies can feel safe and calm, and where parents can feel confident to share their experiences openly within the group. This is to ensure a high-quality experience for both you and every family that joins our program.
Unfortunately, siblings cannot attend our classes; this is due to insurance requirements and health and safety measures. In addition, our programme is designed to provide special one-to-one time for you and your baby to bond, therefore, it is important that you are able to focus solely on them during this time. We understand that finding additional childcare can be difficult, however, it is only through limiting numbers that we are able to provide a quality experience that parents value.
Life can be unpredictable and there may be occasions where you simply have no way of attending, but please don't panic. Whilst missed classes are unfortunate, much of the information and activities within our program can be continued independently and your class leader will be able to guide you on what was missed. Please note, due to the course content and relationships built with each group, we are unable to provide catch-up sessions in alternative classes.
Our typical class size is 6 parents (and 6 babies); however, some classes may be slightly larger if both parents are in attendance. We try to ensure that there are no more than 8 adults present, this is to help create a safe space, where everyone has an opportunity to have their voice heard and to ensure that we are able to build close relationships with others in the room, so that those attending feel able to speak openly in front of their peers.
Our session typically run for 90 minuets, as this duration provides adequate space for information to be shared, topics to be explored and activities to take place. On some occasions a class may finish slightly earlier, depending on whether those in the group have more or less to bring to the discussion. The 90 minutes also includes time at the end for any addition questions and further comments on the days topic.
